FAQs

Questions about how it works

Each trade page has its own questions too. If yours is not here, call 0113 460 1042.

Can I book just one trade?

Yes. Plenty of jobs are a single trade, such as a roof repair, a rewire or a room decorated. You only get the joined-up approach when the job actually needs it.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. A door hung, a dripping tap, a few slates put back or one ceiling patched are all worth a call.

Is the quote free?

Yes. A surveyor visits, and you get a written quote, broken down by trade, before any work is booked.

Which areas do you cover?

Every part of Leeds, LS1 to LS29, plus the towns just outside such as Wetherby, Otley and Morley. If you are further out, ask.

How quickly can someone come out?

It depends on the trade and how busy the season is. When we call you back you are given a visit time, and leaks and electrical faults are put to the front of the queue.

Do I have to be in for the survey?

It helps, so you can point out what you have noticed. For landlords and agents, access can be arranged with the tenant or a key holder.

Can you work from my architect's drawings?

Yes. Send them with your enquiry and the job is priced from the drawings, with any questions raised before the quote is finalised.

Who do I speak to once the job starts?

The same person who arranged the quote. They book each trade, keep you updated, and are the one to call if anything changes.

Do you supply materials?

Yes, materials are usually included in the quote. If you want to supply your own, such as a kitchen, tiles or paint, that is fine and the quote reflects it.

Do you work on commercial property?

Yes, smaller commercial premises including shops, offices, units and communal areas in blocks of flats.

Planning work that involves more than one trade?

One point of contact coordinates every trade, in the right order, from survey to sign-off.
