Roofing in Leeds
Slipped slates, a flat roof holding water, a chimney stack that has started to lean, or a whole roof that has simply reached the end of its life. Roofing is where most property problems start, because water that gets past the roof finds its way into plaster, timber and wiring long before anyone sees a stain.
We cover roofing across Leeds as part of the wider group. That matters when the roof is only half the job: if a leak has already brought a ceiling down, the plastering and decorating go on the same quote instead of you chasing three separate firms.
Scope of work
- Leak tracing and roof repairs
- Strip and re-roof in slate, concrete tile or clay
- Flat roofs in EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and felt
- Chimney repointing, flashing and stack removal
- Fascias, soffits and guttering
- Roof windows fitted and resealed
- Ridge and verge re-bedding
Signs the roof needs looking at
- A damp patch or brown ring on an upstairs ceiling
- Bits of slate or tile on the path or in the gutter
- Daylight showing through in the loft
- Water still sitting on a flat roof two days after rain
- Gutters spilling down the brickwork when it rains
How the job is handled
The roof is inspected before anything is priced. You get photographs of what was found and a written quote that separates the urgent repair from anything that can wait.
If a roof can be repaired, we say so. A re-roof only gets quoted when the slates, battens or felt underneath have genuinely had it.
In Leeds
Leeds roofs are mostly Welsh slate on the Victorian terraces of Headingley, Armley and Harehills, concrete tile on the post-war semis, and flat roofs on dormers and extensions all over the city. Each one fails in its own way, and the fix is different for each.

Do you still do roofing as a building company?
Yes. Roofing is one of the trades we cover most often, from a single slipped slate to a full strip and re-roof. You deal with one office whether the job is roofing alone or roofing plus repairs inside.
Can a leak be fixed without replacing the roof?
Usually. Most leaks come from one point: a cracked slate, failed flashing round a chimney, or a split in a flat roof. Fixing the cause is quoted first, and a re-roof only comes up when the covering has failed across the board.
Which flat roof systems do you fit?
EPDM rubber membranes, GRP fibreglass and torch-on felt. The right one depends on the size of the roof, how it is used and what is underneath it, and the quote explains why one has been picked.
Will you sort the ceiling after a leak?
Yes. Plastering and decorating are trades we cover too, so the ceiling repair goes on the same quote and gets booked in once the roof is watertight.
